They meet blogging because of a love of birding. Unseen they fall in "like"; Marigold, a step-child with three step-sisters, and Periwinkle, a prince from an impoverished kingdom. To save the kingdom of Begonia, his parents want to marry him off to someone rich, so they plan a masked ball. Palace intrigue abounds, as Miss Twist and Master Aster unbeknownst to their royal bosses, hatch a sinister plot to sell the kingdom to a Hollywood producer to turn it into a theme park.
To thwart the prince and Marigold, they summon the evil Elle Virus, who wails the rock song, Crash, as she battles with her Auntie Virus, Marigold's fairy nerdmother. Packed with palace fools, cyber punks, suitors vying for the prince, and even computer mice, Cyberella is hilarious!
Nominated for several B. Iden Payne awards, Cyberella has wonderful music-- original songs by Tish Hinojosa, Holly Watson, The Austin Lounge Lizards, Robert Skiles, and others.
kidsActing has created award-winning musicals with casts of young people for over 25 years, including The Velvetten Rabbit, Monsters!, Bugs, Waking Sleeping Beauty, Goldie, and The Emperor's New Shows. They say, "There are no small roles, only small actors". In our shows, the actor's may be small (in size) but our roles are big--everyone has scenes, songs, lots to do! Kids return every summer because they have fun, make life long friends (there are a good group of kidsActing alums who meet regularly in NYC and LA!), learn a lot, and get to shine in a high quality, full-scale, professionally produced show. Sing, dance, act in this musical camp! Fun roles for everyone! Perform your Broadway hit for family and friends with costumes, lights, props, and live music!
One week camps: Cinderella, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Annie, Grease, The Sound of Music. Fee: $265
Two week camps: Beauty & the Beast, H.S. Musical. Fee: $495.
Camps meet 9am-4pm, except half day camps. (Exceptions are noted) Half day camp fee: $175.

Plays!

Star in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe or Charlotte’s Web. Complete with costumes, props, lights, the works! Two weeks 9am-4pm. Fee $495

In Showtime camps, we often need a wide age-range for casting. All camps are age appropriate.

Get in the Act!
Fun! Do it all!

In this cool camp, you get to act for TV, movies, and commercials. Run the camera/shoot video, play hilarious comedy/improvisational games. Rehearse and perform a play, learn basic stage combat (stunts & fencing), theatre arts & crafts. You finish with a great show of your videos and play, complete with costumes, lights, and props. Camps are 9am-4pm. $265

Voice

In this camp you will become a better singer. Pros take voice lessons. You should, too! Plus it helps you with auditions! There will be a recital at the end of the week. At 360/Lamar location only. June 23-27th 1-4pm $165

Summer

Early Drop off/Late pick up:

You may drop off your child ten minutes early. They must be picked up at the time the camp is over. If this is not adequate, you may sign up for early drop off or late pick up. Your child may be dropped off as early as 1 hour before start time, and picked up 1.5 hours after finish for a fee of $4.00 per 30-minute segment, per child. This must be arranged at least 2 weeks prior to the start date.

Summer Discounts:
Sign up for more than one camp, get a 10% discount on lower priced camp. Can be one child, siblings, or bring a friend who is NEW to kidsActing. (Discount to be taken from final payment)
