Into the Woods weaves together classic fairy tales—including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel—as they intersect with the story of a Baker and his Wife on a quest to lift a curse placed upon them. After everyone’s wishes are seemingly fulfilled, the characters must face the unexpected consequences of getting what they want. Clever, darkly humorous, and deeply human, Into the Woods explores responsibility, community, and what it truly means to live “happily ever after.”​
